I believe that is just an unfortunate foot placement I the picture. It is the other foot that is way more messed up, and you may mock the gels now, but we all know who you’ll be coming to when you are in need. One woman stockpile for the autumn racing season here. And I thought I would be nice and share.

For those following these comments, as Karen predicted, I visited the lady with the “one woman stockpile” of gels and forked over a fistful of pesos to score some for my upcoming race. Her prices are fair, and her gels have a great kick.

Are you running a marathon or the entire length of Mexico? That’s a lot of gel, and I have to say, a gnarly looking (climber’s) toe.
