It is either a Wavyleaf thistle or a Texas thistle — still investigating the subtle differences between Cirsium undulatum and Cirsium texanum. Any botanists want to chime in? Both are plumed thistles, I believe.
Thanks. I’ve been doing a lot of wildflower shooting. I am trying to organize and figure out how I want to show them. Now if only I would stop laying down on cacti or in noxious plants to get the shots. Oh well, it is worth the pricks and pains.

I had the dog with me, and I can’t handle both him and Dino. They get real rowdy together. :)
