Weekends may only be 2 days long, but Saturday was a great start to this one. I had a short, but nice run in the morning followed by many hours of bouldering in Bernal. More climbing is planned for today. I know it was a good day of climbing yesterday, because my fingers are a bit sensitive to typing. So much better than last weekend. Wow.
I’m not quite sure…
My standard expression of climbing concentration
Success.
There was a prize for getting to the top (the beer).
It was an intense problem — notice that I have only one hand on the rock. It was all super-balancy moves where there was almost nothing to hold, and totally satisfying when I finished it. You’re the one that called me an extreme athlete. I’m just trying to live up to the title, and it was a huge relief to be healthy this weekend.
The second and third photos in the sequence are amazing. They capture beautifully the intensity and concentration of the moment. I love them.

It’s great to read about a good weekend, rather than last weekend’s disaster. The look in your eyes in the second picture is scary intense!
